As of this writing, I've streamed 19 games on my channel. I have never experienced chaos like I did last night.
Here's a tip for my fellow little baby deer gamers who are also learning to stream- make sure that shit works way before you plan on going live.
My intention was to play God of War. I had downloaded it on my pc (which is wonderful, so many thanks to BA Gaming Rigs ). When I opened the game 20 minutes before my scheduled stream, it informed me a four hour update was necessary to play.
Whoops.
So I pivoted to Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin which I have been wanting to play for months simply because I saw a clip from the game that showed a character running around with a corgi under each arm. That's literally the entire reason I wanted to play the game. It looked really pretty and you get to hold puppies.
The game is impossible.
There are long, un-skippable cut scenes and as far as I can tell, you can't quit the game. I mashed all the buttons. I googled. I could not get to a menu or quit the game without force.
So I quit my very first game ever on stream and then started playing PowerWash Simulator to soothe everyone's frazzled nerves and a lovely evening was had by all.
Special thanks to BA Gaming Rigs for making this stream possible. I'm loving my computer and their customer service is excellent so be sure to check them out if you're looking for a gaming computer!
In case you missed it, you can read the recap below or watch the stream on YouTube.
Add me on Steam, send a tip, and find all things streaming here.
So here's what happened during the PowerWash Simulator! We:
returned to our safe place of Power Wash, and resumed our career in the garden and I felt my blood-pressure drop dramatically
worked on the pond, and remembered that this game has dark implications, wondering whether anyone actually owns the houses we clean, or whether this will turn into a horror game
saw someone suggest that we have drowned the birds by power-washing their house, but we think they're smart enough to fly away.
listened to me talk about still being spooked by Resident Evil, and while I remain a skeptic on ghost stories, I still get creeped out late at night when I'm home alone
MUST SETTLE THE DEBATE - Do you take your shoes off when entering someone's house?
listened to me fall into a character with a Victorian etiquette voice and discovered a new affirmation, 'Power wash the shame away'
discovered a step-ladder which unlocked a new dimension of washing and then Babbs made a cameo appearance to show off her haircut
looked to hunt down the last stragglers of dirt with the efficiency and determination of a power-washing Jason Voorhees.
